So the month is over, and boy, it has a fair bit gone on. Getting over COVID has been quite the time, with symptoms persisting for a few good weeks, but I feel good now, and so does my partner. Meanwhile, the house renovation continues, and the attic is done. We have a few things to do now - mainly painting internal doors and touching up things. Really weird to have the house almost finished.
While work and home life are good, and so are hobbies and freelance work, other elements of life are not, and while it is disappointing, the easiest thing to do is remove it from my concerns. Toxicity and narcissism are just not what you need from others who won't look at their own awful traits.
Freelance Work
So above are the books sent to me by Privateer Press, as part of the compensation for writing for the Kickstarter. The one book, Deep Wild Expeditions, contains my first DnD scenario, "Of Swine and Men". Such great writing and art in these books from the team, and why I love working for PP.
While I am back in the trenches for Cubicle 7 writing for a project, I can now reveal that I have also done freelance work for them in the form of video editing.
So for Cubicle 7 and their KS and their recent new release, I have worked on a series of videos for their social media. Taking the great artwork for their books, I used layers to animate and give a sense of motion and immersion. The end result grabs the attention of people on Instagram and FB, and help drive traffic to these products. I've been enjoying the work a lot and I am looking forward to doing more.
Hobby
So up top is my DElaque gang painted, and that means I have painted all but one of the gangs for Necromunda. And also completed is my conversion and painting of a new vehicle for my Goliath gang, made from a Mauler and a Space Marine ATV.
And while I prepare for the upcoming demo event for Lead and Steel in Sheffield, I have Plague Bearers and the Gellerpox to paint for use for that demos, as they are the enemies in the Wrath and Glory starter set.
