So it's been a busy couple of months (when is it not) and so it's a good time to catch up on what has happened, the good, and the meh.
Work
It's been a bit of ups and downs. It's incredible how you can work on a few features and other bits of the code, and utterly forget other things. So there was a bit of refreshing my memory and working on some new features. While we have lost one of our juniors on the team, I've had the pleasure of onboarding another junior into the team, who was previously part of our team when he was a graduate engineer. And it is always at those moments that you get a chance to prove what you understand by teaching it. Fortunately, one of the benefits of my work is a health and wellbeing fund, which I can use for items like sports wear, so I have some new clothing for working out in. In the last few months, I have been doing calisthenics. Which is doing good things, in particular for my posture, since I spend most of my day sitting in front of the computer for work.
Freelance
We have reached the first milestone of preparing the quick start for Trashumanism for demos at events. Unfortunately, due to how UKGE operates, we couldn't run any there because the game isn't yet available. That seemed a bit weird. Most of my time at UKGE on the day I attended was spent on the Gehenna Gaming stand, promoting both Eldritch Automata and the event itself, while also catching up with friends and networking. It's a very different experience to be working on a stand and not going about the event space as much as I usually would.
More events are coming up where people can try out Trashumanism, but these are in the US. In the UK, there may be some demos at Tabletop Scotland, and I aim to attend Dragonmeet in London in November. Of course, the main event coming up for demos is Gencon, where Le Destroy will be present on the Gehenna Gaming stand to promote the game.
Coming up are a few more writing projects to announce, and my work for Warhammer: The Old World RPG is now out in the wild.
Hobby
Over the last few weeks, we have been replacing carry cases with much more durable Warmag cases. This prevents the models from being crushed while they are magnetically secured in the box.

And this last month has seen me run almost a dozen demos of Warmachine, as the end of the month at the local games club sees us give away some Warmachine starter sets. Hopefully, this means we will get people playing in a journeyman league at that club.
Concerning painting miniatures, I am eagerly awaiting the new free Merc Cephalyx Warcaster and Monstroscity that you get for subscribing to the Warmachine app for a year. I've also been painting the new Old Umbrey models, which are fantastic miniatures, so pictures of those will be included in the next blog post. For now, enjoy the 360s.
We have also recently recorded the first of the Kult Deep Dives for Darker Days Radio, and the second is now also recorded, ready for editing.
Coming up I've got a squad of Space Marine scouts to paint as Absolvers, and 4 new Van Saar on grav boards to paint ready for the next campaign.
